Right out of college, the book publishing company with whom I worked asked me "how would you like to move to Portland, OR?" That was in 1980 and I have not looked back. I picked up my company car and drove the states of Oregon and most of Washington to research my new territory. Soon after, while working as a regional sales manager for the publisher, I earned my Masters Degree Business Administration from Portland State University. Instead of leaving Portland to utilize my new degree somewhere else, I decided to stay. And after having raised two children here, I feel almost like a native Oregonian.

I have lived in every quadrant of the city and out east in the county. We settled in NE Portland on the Columbia River where everyday feels like paradise. We are minutes from downtown as well as Alberta, Dekum, Concordia, Kenton, Fremont, Mock Crest, Alameda and Grant neighborhoods where the streets are bursting with restaurants, shops and services. When we purchased our home, these neighborhoods were not 'hip', popular or scored with a walkability score such as they are now. As your realtor, I am able to show you how the neighborhoods are growing and changing, guiding you to find your ideal block. I have watched the trends of the neighborhood as the new Dutch Brothers coffee or Starbucks, New Seasons or new hair salon enters the area. In Portland, you are welcomed to participate in the local government and neighborhood associations. The city takes great pride in the longevity and activity of its neighborhoods.

Because of my business background in many aspects of book publishing: sales management, distribution, marketing and production, within a few companies, I was a good candidate to volunteer in local organizations. I was selected for the Budget Avisory Committee for the city Housing Department. I have participated in the local ice skating community for 15 years in the management of 501 c-3 club board positions as Treasurer, President and Vice President; as well as a volunteer in the national governing association United States Figure Skating Association.

With all these experiences, I have developed a reputation as a a problem solver. As a real estate broker with Windermere Stellar, I am able to help clients wind their way through a fun, interesting and sometimes stressful path to find or sell a home. Whether a client is a new arrival to Portland or a longtime resident, Windermere Realty Trust and I are able to provide solutions. The plan for selling your real estate is much more specialized than just planting a FOR SALE sign in your front yard. It requires sophisticated marketing to find the qualified buyer at the best possible price for you. On the other side, while the search for finding and buying your new home may start on the internet, as your Realtor, I can show you the flavor of the neighborhoods, help negotiate, and be there for the home inspector and the appraiser. It is my aim to provide a smooth transaction at the best possible cost for you. I have the tools to support you with up to date research and all data available. This is the benefit of a pro active and well respected real estate agency. All of this means you can expect a professional transaction.
